PARTY DRESS

A principis de mes varem tenir  la festa del 65è aniversari del meu sogre. Com que era  una celebració especial volia que  la meva filla anés ben guapa i vaig decidir emprar aquest tutorial per a fer-li aquest vestit:

At the beginnings of this month we had the 65th birthday party of my father-in-law. Since it was an special celebration I wanted my daughter to dress specially too. I decided to use this tutorial to make her this dress:

La foto la vaig fer quan ja feia  unes hores  que duia el vestit i a més no es volia deixar fotografiar perquè volia anar a jugar, així que aquestes són les millors fotos que vaig  poder aconseguir. Al davall de  la falda li vaig fer un pettit-skirt (una falda de tres volants feta de tul blanc) per tal que  la falda del vestit tingués més volum.

I took this photos when she  had  worn the dress for several hours and she didn't want to be  photographed because she  wanted to go to play. So, these are the best photos I could take. Under the dress she's earing a pettit-skirt to give it more fullness.

La segona part la tendreu a punt el 9 de  juny. I perquè tan tard? Doncs perquè a partir d'aquest dia i durant només una setmana a la botiga etsy de  Heidi and  Finn tindreu un súper oferta per a comprar els seus patrons.

I aquí teniu la que en realitat  va ser  la primera camisa basada en aquest  patró, però que la meva filla  no es vol posar  perquè diu que "pica" . És un a llàstima perquè tenia un look hippy que m'encantava, tot i que també he de dir que la tela era complicadeta de cosir perquè s'esfilagarsava tota i era molt difícil de manejar.

Here is what was indeed the first shirt I sewed using this pattern, but my daughter doesn't want to wear it because she says it scratches :(. It's a pity since I loved the hippy look of it, though I must say it was a nightmare to sew (it unraveled a lot  and  was very difficult to hold  in place).

El coll em va quedar  massa ample  i està encara sense acabar les  mànigues ni el doblec de baix
The neckline is too wide and  I haven't finished the hem, nor the sleeves edges.

Also want to thank Jessica  from me sew crazy for her  pattern remix series which I find sooooo inpiring. Without it I'd never dared to make a tutorial for a pattern alteration.

Ahir vaig acabar aquest top. L'he anomenat AINA SHIRT:
I finished this top yesterday. I call it the AINA SHIRT:

Està feta per a entrarla al PATTERN REMIX CONTEST. N'he fet el patró jo mateixa a partir del patró per a aquesta blusa. I he emprat una tela  molt fineta de cotó, gairebé transparent  per a que sigui ben fresqueta.
El bies del coll i les mànigues és comprat, per que estava poc fanera, però per a la pròxima que faci crec que el faré jo mateixa. Els botons són vintage, d'aquells que em va donar la meva sogra

I made it to be entered to the PATTERN REMIX CONTEST. I made the pattern myself based on the pattern for this shirt. I used a very light cotton fabric so its really airy. The bias tape on the neck and sleeves is store-bought, because I was too lazy to make it myself, but I think next time I sew a shirt like this I'm going to make it myself. The buttons are vintage, from those that gave me my mother-in-law.

A la part de baix de  la camisa hi vaig fer uns repunts decoratius. He de  millorar moooolt la tècnica encara!

At the hem I added some decorative stitches  from my  sewing machine. I must improve this skills!

Trobo que li va una mica gran, però això vol dir que encara la podrà portar l'estiu que ve!

I find it's a bit too large for her, but that means it will still fit her next summer!

I sabeu què, estic enllestint dos tutorials, el primer,que suposo que el penjaré en 2 o 3 dies, serà de com obtenir el patró per a fer la AINA SHIRT; el segon tutorial serà de com cosir-la.
